ST. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A partnership between Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and Hamilton Center will help meet a need in the community.
On Monday, the college announced a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MS-CMHC) degree starting in May 2024. Designed to align with Indiana licensure requirements, the degree program will include two residencies on the campus and on-site training in the student’s geographic area with completion in as little as two years along with hybrid with courses online.
The announcement comes in collaboration with Hamilton Center, which contributed a $175,000 gift to the program.
The donated funds will provide scholarships to Hamilton Center employees who are looking to advance their careers with masters degrees.
“This is going to provide an access for students with Hamilton Center a lower-cost option of being able to jump into these programs and it will also provide Hamilton Center with the ability to retain these employees for a longer period of time,” Brennan Randolph, Interim President of SMWC said.
Hamilton Center president and CEO Melvin L. Burks said St. Mary-of-the-Woods has been a great partner of theirs for a long time and this program continues that strong partnership.
