CHARELSTON, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — To support Eastern Illinois University’s Academy of Lifelong Learning, the institution will be hosting a celebration of beer and music.
According to a release from EIU, the Hops and Harmonies: A Celebration of Beer and Music is a beer-tasting event that will be held at the Charleston Country Club from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29. All the proceeds from the event will benefit EIU’s Academy of Lifelong Learning.
Those interested in attending can pre-register for the event for $25 or purchase a ticket at the door for $30. There will be five selections of beer to choose from along with live classical music hosted by the EIU’s Wind Symphony Chamber Ensembles.
The Academy of Lifelong Learning is designed to help community members grow, think, and learn through new opportunities.
Attendees are encouraged to enjoy dinner and additional drinks at the Country Club’s restaurant and bar. Several other EIU representatives will also be attending the event.
