TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Air Show will have a new rare World War II bomber joining the show as a static performer.
According to a release from the Terre Haute Air Show, one of the two remaining airworthy B-29 Superfortress aircrafts, “Doc” will be available for ride flights during the Terre Haute Air Show.

During the show, the aircraft will be available for ride flights and cockpit tours from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. May 31 through June 2.
Doc was built in Witchita, Kansas by the Boeing Company during World War II. Once a year, the aircraft is taken around the world to various cities to allow aviation enthusiasts the opportunity to have a 30-minute ride, with a pre-flight history of the B-29 and a crew briefing.
“This is a unique opportunity for our community to witness living history right here in Terre Haute,” said Air Show President Jordan Brown. “People all across the midwest will be coming to catch a glimpse.”
