TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local church is helping needy families in the Wabash Valley ahead of Christmas.
Four Square Gospel Church in Terre Haute hosted a free food give-a-way Sudnay afternoon.
Families in need were sent home with a package of holiday favorites. For some families, it’s the only Christmas meal they’ll get this year.
Organizers say they are seeing a greater need this year than in years past.
Sabrina Beard is in charge of the church’s Food Pantry. She explains, “It makes my heart happy. It brings a tear to my eye to see the tears in their eyes knowing we’re here for them. We’re not judging them. We are here for them to support them. “
