TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — You can help a local foodbank serve the community this holiday season.
Terre Haute Catholic Charities is partnering with Meijer for the Simply Give program. Now through December 30, Meijer customers can purchase $10 Simply Give cards for Terre Haute Catholic Charities.
The organization can then use those as gift cards to purchase food for their food bank. Assistant Agency Director Jennifer Tames said Meijer has supported their food bank for years, since even before the store opened in Terre Haute.
“We so appreciate their partnership throughout these years in both donating food to Terre Haute Catholic Charities food bank but also including us in the Simply Give program and inviting the community members also to step in and to help to provide food,” Tames said.
Tames also noted that on Saturday, December 16, Meijer will double-match any cards purchased that day, effectively tripling the contribution. Tames also added that the Simply Give cards can also be purchased as add-ons during online orders.
