VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County School Corporation has announced that a police report was filed involving a VCSC employee.
According to VCSC Chief Communications Officer Katie Shane, the name of the teacher involved is Keith Denham. Shane noted that VCSC conducted an internal investigation and that Denham, the former agricultural teacher at Terre Haute South, no longer works for the school corporation.
“The Vigo County School Corporation was notified of a police report that was filed involving a VCSC staff member. The VCSC conducted an internal investigation into the allegations, to which the individual no longer works for the corporation. We are working with the Terre Haute Police Department as officers continue their investigation,” Shane said.
VCSC Superintendent Dr. Chris Himsel also commented on the corporation’s response to the incident.
“Our team worked quickly as soon as we were alerted to the police report. The allegations are serious and will not be tolerated within our school corporation,” Himsel said.
