TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will host a showing of The Nutcracker performed by the State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine.
While the evening performance is sold out, there are still available tickets for a 4:00 p.m. showing on Thursday, November 16 at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s Hatfield Hall Theater. The tickets start at $50 and there are a limited number.
This event, made possible through an Arts Illiana grant, also includes local dancers from throughout the Wabash Valley.
Those in the community interested in attending will have the opportunity to listen to Tchaikovsky’s notable score of instantly recognizable holiday music, including “Waltz of the Flowers” and “Waltz of the Snowflakes.”
The State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine has a company of more than 55 dancers and has drawn critical acclaim in performances throughout the world.
Tickets can be purchased online at Rose-Hulman’s Hatfield Hall webpage, by calling 812-877-8544, or by visiting the Hatfield Hall ticket desk, open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Tickets could also be purchased at the ticket desk beginning one hour before the show as long as they are still available.
