FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Casey’s and Pepsi are partnering to make donating to two veteran-related charities simple this month.
In honor of Veterans Day, customers will be able to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar and the rest will be donated to two organizations that provide support to military veterans and their families through Hope For The Warriors, and the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.
Another way to support the effort is to purchase a 20 oz. Pepsi product, small Lays or Doritos, and a Mega Slice™ of pizza. The program runs November 1-28.
As part of the promotion, Pepsi has agreed to donate $25,000.
“Service members, both past and present, have given so much to our country. Last year, our guests helped us make a significant impact on these brave men and women by raising more than $1 million for these two nonprofit organizations,” said Darren Rebelez, President and CEO of Casey’s, and a veteran of the United States Army. “We are grateful for PepsiCo’s continued partnership on this campaign and appreciate the sincere generosity of our guests and team members through this annual opportunity to give back in a meaningful way.”
Since Casey’s began this yearly effort $8,000,000 has been donated to veteran-related charities.
On Veterans Day, November 11, Casey’s will also be offering a free complimentary coffee or fountain drink to all veterans who stop into the store. While active-duty military and uniformed first responders can take advantage of a free drink offer year-round.
“Casey’s round-up campaign raised over $1.7M in cumulative support for Children of Fallen Patriots,” said David Kim, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Children of Fallen Patriots. “Thanks to Casey’s, we have been able to cover the cost of a combined 277 years of college funding for our scholars. We’re so incredibly grateful for this partnership and look forward to this year.”
