TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Over $150,000 was distributed to non-profits in Vigo County Wednesday by the Wabash Valley Community Foundation.
Among the projects benefitting are the Terre Haute Humane Society’s future low-cost veterinary clinic, the Vigo County Public Library’s coming 12 Points branch, and a renovation project at the 14th and Chestnut Community Center.
Foundation President and CEO Beth Tevlin said that the grants were made possible thanks to unrestricted donations made by the community.
“Consider a gift to the community foundation for your local county because each year it will go back in to help the community grow and build over time,” Tevlin said. “It’s your county, we all want to invest in making Clay, Sullivan, and Vigo better places to live.”
