DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two people have been arrested after law enforcement said a drug investigation led to the seizure of approximately 100 fentanyl pills.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff, a joint investigation involving their office as well as the Washington Police Department, Indiana State Police, and the DEA Task Force resulted in two arrests during separate traffic stops.
Those stops occurred on the evening of Friday, September 8. Police, with the assistance of a K-9 officer located the fentanyl pills as well as other items seized.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of Logan Roger, 26, and Stephanie Roger, 28. Both have been preliminarily charged with level 2 felony counts of dealing in a narcotic drug.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office encourages everyone to educate themselves and their children on the dangers of fentanyl. Fentanyl is often times disguised to look like authentic prescription pills and can be very difficult to distinguish the difference. One dose or one pill can be lethal, especially if they don’t know what they are taking.
