TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — With the rising cost of everything, some families have experienced the need of baby hygiene products. Which is where local diaper banks like ‘Covered with Love’ step in.
‘Covered with Love Diaper Bank’ and ‘Musicians Giving Back’ will be hosting the 3rd annual HuggieLuvFest. The event will be Saturday August 12, from 12 to 6 p.m. at Watertower Estates Winery on Springhill Drive.
Admission to HuggieLuvFest is $10 or a donation of a package of diapers. All ages are welcome. Local musicians will be taking the stage throughout the event along with other activities to enjoy. The goal is to raise over $45,000, which will provide enough supplies for the Wabash Valley for the year.
“One in three families in the U.S. struggles providing diapers for their children. And you know babies can go through six to ten diapers a day. So, you start to do that math, it really adds up. Especially if you are unable to provide it,” Public Relations Volunteer Baley Halberstadt said.
‘Covered with Love’ has been able to provide more than 350,000 diapers to families in the Wabash Valley.
