BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Brazil Farmers Market held their monthly junior vendor day Saturday morning.
This is where kids of the area are able to come out and sell their own products. The purpose of the event is to give children the chance to develop entrepreneurial skills and habits early in life.
Sherry Garlits is the owner of the Brazil farmers market and says this about the ever-growing nature of this event.
“I feel fantastic about it. We get many ‘Thank You’s’ around town for doing this and how it inspires children and that it’s very generous that we open up our property for this.”
There were many things that went into the creation of this event. However, one main reason stuck out to Garlits.
“We love children. We want to encourage them to learn all they can in these fields because they are our future.”
This event is held on the last Saturday of each month.
