VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two men have been treated for gunshot wounds after a shooting at Willow Crossings Apartment Complex.
According to Vigo County Sheriff’s Office Chief of Operations Derek Fell, the incident occurred during the early morning hours Tuesday in the 1000 block of Park Place Court. Police were called to Regional Hospital at 2:03 a.m. with reports of a person injured with a gunshot wound.
According to Fell, deputies determined a 19-year-old male victim and an 18-year-old male suspect had an altercation during a planned meeting where illegal activity is suspected. Both men were shot during the altercation and sought medical attention at separate hospitals.
Fell said one of the men has since been released from the hospital while the other is still receiving treatment. Their injuries are reportedly not considered life-threatening.
