TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– One local fire department is opening its doors to the community as thousands still deal with power outages following Thursday’s strong storm.
The Otter Creek Fire Department will offer water and charging stations at two of its locations on Saturday, according to Fire Chief Brad Stott. One is located at 5701 N. Clinton Street, and the other at 5970 Rio Grande Avenue. He also encouraged people needing assistance to call their number at 812-466-0911. Those in need of water should also bring containers to store it.
Stott said they will try to have someone available through the night as well, and it was still undecided if these stations will be open on Sunday.
