TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Thursday, WTWO held our Stuff the Bus fundraiser event.
This event was where we tried to stuff the bus full of school supplies. The school supplies are going to be donated to people in the Vigo County school corporation of need. There was a great turnout including a lot of supplies and cash donations.
Vice President and General Manager of WTWO, Tim Sanders, says this is what being a TV station is all about.
“This event means a lot because there are a lot of students in Vigo County that need the help and assistance. As a TV station, our job is not just to report the news, it’s to be out there, it’s to be a part of the community. When we see a need, it’s our job to help out,” he said.
WTWO would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this event as special as it was.
