TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local brewery is creating something special in honor of firefighters.
Afterburner Brewing Company in Terre Haute is collaborating with Terre Haute Firefighters Union Local 758 to package beer with a label designed to honor firefighters.
The label is being created as the city prepares to host a convention of the Professional Firefighters Union of Indiana.
Afterburner Brewing Company is owned by veterans and working to honor first responders has a special meaning to them.
A block party will take place next Wednesday, May 24, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Wabash between 7th and 9th Street to celebrate firefighters and give people in the area the opportunity to come out and see the new label.
The cost to attend the block party is $5 per person and participants can enjoy live music, food trucks, and of course, beer featuring the firefighter’s label.
