BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Brazil Police Department had received a report of a suspicious person who was caught looking into residential windows.
According to a release posted on the Brazil Police Department Facebook page, the suspect was seen by the homeowner and then fled the area, leaving the scene in a silver car.
Local law enforcement led an investigation after the homeowner reported the incident. The vehicle was found in the same area where the incident occurred. Officers discovered that the owner of the vehicle is Daniel Winn, 58, of Carbon Indiana. Winn is a registered sex offender.
Winn was registered as a violent sexual predator and was currently on parole. The Indiana Department of Corrections Parole Agents collaborated with the Brazil Police Department to revoke Winn’s parole. Winn was arrested for parole violation and was taken to the Clay County Jail.
The incident is still under investigation.
