ROBINSON, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — A threat written on a bathroom wall led to an investigation by police and school officials in Robinson, Illinois Tuesday.
According to a Facebook post from Robinson Community Unit School District 2, school officials and police were made aware of the threat Tuesday. An investigation found that the “ambiguous threat” had been made by a Robinson High School student who had written their threat on the wall of one of the bathrooms.
Similar to a recent threat made to Nuttall Middle School which is part of the same district, officials followed the school’s threat assessment protocols, in order to determine the threat level and mitigate the threat.
Robinson CUSD#2 Superintendent Josh Quick thanked students and parents that notified the proper authorities once the threat was discovered.
As we move forward, please continue to encourage your student to immediately contact the authorities if they are ever made aware of any verbal, written, or electronic threat or words of violence. It’s important to alert authorities or school administration about any concerns before it circulates on social media. That way, the situation can be investigated and a determination can be made if a threat is credible or not.

Quick went on to assure parents and community members that student safety remains the top priority, saying they will continue to monitor the situation and will activate emergency protocols, and notify parents immediately whenever necessary.
