TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A well-known leadership program is coming back to West Central Indiana in May of 2022.
The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, are now taking enrollments for the 11th annual Wabash Valley Leadership Institute. The four-day program is hosted at the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and brings together business and community professionals.
Danielle Isbell, director of resource development for United Way, was a 2016 participant of the Wabash Valley Leadership Institute. She said the program has helped her grow in her position.
“When I started at the leadership institute, I was new in a career path,” Isbell said. “I really had a hard time believing in myself, that I deserved that role. And so, the leadership institute really encouraged me and gave me the tools to show me that other people in the community saw me as a leader. Therefore, I needed to view myself that way.”
The Wabash Valley Leadership Institute is open to adult learners from across Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties.
