VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Two people were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop Wednesday in Knox County.
According to the Vincennes Police Department, it happened around 5:25 p.m. in the 600 block of Perry St. in Vincennes.
After pulling the vehicle over, the officer learned one of the occupants of the vehicle had an active felony arrest warrant through Knox County. She was identified as Megan Harsha, 29.
Police said during the stop, an officer observed a hypodermic syringe as well as a small plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine in plain view.

David Blanchette, 33, was arrested Wednesday after he was found to have two felony arrest warrants, one through Knox County and the other through Pike County. -

Police detained a male subject later identified as David Blanchette, 33. Blanchette was found to have two felony arrest warrants, one through Knox County and one through Pike County.
During the search of the vehicle, a backpack was located which contained multiple items of drug contraband, more suspected methamphetamine, hypodermic syringes, and items commonly associated with dealing illegal drugs. Blanchette admitted to the items being his.
Blanchette was charged with:
- Pike County, IN Warrant: Burglary with a Deadly Weapon, Level 2 Felony
- Knox County, IN Warrant: Escape, Level 5 Felony
- Dealing Methamphetamine, Level 2 Felony
- Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 4 Felony
- Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Level 6 Felony
- Possession of Paraphernalia, Class C Misdemeanor
Harsha was placed under arrest for her Knox County felony warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony.
