TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Do you know a woman in a leadership role who should be recognized for their abilities? Then the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce wants to hear from you.
Nominations for the annual Women’s Excellence in Leadership Award are now open. The award recognizes a woman who has distinguished herself in her profession, workplace, and community. This year’s honor will be presented at the Terre Haute Women’s Conference hosted and sponsored by Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
After two years of the conference being held virtually with only small ceremonies to present the award this year’s conference is being held in-person Friday, March 11 on the campus of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
“The Terre Haute Women’s Conference is a wonderful event that celebrates, educates, and inspires women in West Central Indiana,” Chamber President Kristin Craig said. “We’ve only had the chance to host the conference once in-person, twice virtually, so needless to say, we’re anxious to present the award in person.”
Nominations can be submitted online at this link until the deadline of Feb. 17.
In 2021 the chamber honored Union Health Chief Nursing Officer Rhonda Smith. In 2020 the award was given to Union Health General Counsel Amy Hock.
