SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Sullivan man was arrested Tuesday by Indiana State Police after they discovered during a traffic stop the man had felony drug warrants out for his arrest.
Troopers from the Putnamville State Police Post pulled the man over around 11:10 a.m. on Nov. 9 while he was driving on US-41 near Shelburn, Ind. The driver, 30-year-old Tyler Cox of Sullivan, was allegedly driving left of center before police stopped him.
During the traffic stop, troopers found out Cox had active warrants out of Sullivan County for drug-related charges. Cox was arrested and taken to Sullivan County Jail where he is currently being held.
Cox now faces charges of dealing methamphetamine, a level 2 felony, and possession of methamphetamine, a level 3 felony. The warrant arrest stemmed from an investigation by ISP Drug Enforcement, police said.
