SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A 70-year-old man was arrested by Indiana State Police Monday night during a traffic stop and now faces multiple methamphetamine-related charged.
An ISP trooper pulled over Terry L. Frakes, 70, Farmersburg, Ind., around 8 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the area of US 41 and County Road 1125 North for speeding. During the stop, the trooper allegedly detected criminal activity from Frakes, a police report said.

The trooper called the Jasonville Police Department to bring a canine to the scene and the canine alerted the officers of criminal activity. During a search of Frakes’ vehicle, officers allegedly found illegal contraband.
Police said Frakes then gave permission to search his residence. The search allegedly uncovered two pounds, or 900 grams, of methamphetamine, digital scales, large amounts of cash and drug paraphernalia.
Frakes was then arrested and taken into custody, being transported to Sullivan County Jail where he is currently being held. According to police, Frakes had enough methamphetamine to distribute between 900 to 3,600 doses.
Frakes now faces the following charges:
- Dealing Methamphetamine, a level 2 Felony
- Possession of Methamphetamine, a level 3 Felony
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a class C Misdemeanor
