TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is expecting to see its largest freshman class ever arrive on campus over the next few weeks, with more than 620 first-year students enrolled for the fall 2021 semester.
A majority of these students will be coming to campus on August 27, the day freshman orientation activities are scheduled to begin. The 620 students, which is a 15% increase from last year’s class, are joining around 1,500 other returning Rose-Hulman students for the start of fall quarter classes on September 2.
This year’s class includes students from over 35 different U.S. states as well as countries such as China, India and South Korea.
“Rose-Hulman is an institution with a growing national and international reputation,” Vice President Tom Bear said. “That fact continues to be reflected in our new student recruitment efforts. More students are being attracted to the distinctive qualities of our hands-on education, within a caring campus community of world-class faculty and dedicated staff, that develops graduates with unique problem-solving abilities.”
