TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Prairieton Fire Department responded to a barn fire located on Filbeck Dr.
It happened just after seven o’clock. Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Bud Bonham said cases of ammunition in the structure were exploding and the roof had collapsed.
Nobody was home at the time of the incident. Bonham says the fire started in the back of the structure, but is unaware if it sparked inside or outside.
The barn is considered a total loss, an investigation is underway.
