WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Vigo County 911 issued on Friday a Winter Storm Watch for Sunday night through 7 a.m. Tuesday. Five to seven inches of total snow accumulation is possible.
The storm’s hazard level has been ranked “Severe,” meaning it represents a significant threat to life or property. Travel could be very difficult, with conditions impacting the morning or evening commute.
Vigo County 911 notes, however, that “Uncertainty on the specific track of this storm system remains high. A change in the path of the storm could have large impacts on snowfall amounts. Counties affected are Vigo, Sullivan, Clay, Vermillion, Knox, Greene, Daviess, Martin, Parke, Johnson, Lawrence, Jennings, Putnam, Madison, Monroe, Rush, Martin, Marion, Boone, Bartholomew, Randolph, Morgan, Henry, Hamilton, Jackson, Shelby, Hendricks, Montgomery, Hancock, Brown, Delaware and Decatur.
