VIGO COUNTY, Ind. — A Terre Haute man is facing several charges after he was pulled over Tuesday night while driving a stolen vehicle.
According to Indiana State Police, Ryan Roberts, 30, was stopped after a trooper noticed him driving around abandoned buildings with no headlights on. When asked why he didn’t have his headlights on, Roberts reportedly told the trooper he didn’t want to be seen.
When running the plates of the vehicle, the trooper discovered the vehicle was stolen. A search of the vehicle uncovered methamphetamine, heroin, syringes, counterfeit money and car keys belonging to another stolen vehicle.
Roberts was transported to the Vigo County Jail on initial charges of possession stolen auto parts, possession of counterfeit currency, criminal mischief, criminal trespassing, maintaining a common nuisance and multiple drug-related offenses.
