MARSHALL, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — On Saturday, families met Santa in Marshall, Illinois.
A couple hosted Santa right in their driveway. For only five dollars, children were able to take pictures with Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.
The photos were printed out for kids to take home with them, along with candy canes, and a one million dollar bill of Christmas wishes.
Santa made sure he wore a mask to maintain safety. He said it is important to spread joy and holiday cheer, especially this year.
“With everything going on in the world today, we are trying to bring joy into the world, and have Santa Claus come out to meet with all the boys and girls and get pictures with the families so we can try to spread cheer throughout the world,” Santa said.
Santa will be taking another visit next Saturday from 11am-1pm.
All proceeds will be donated to the Relay for Life American Cancer Society.
