SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Sullivan County deputies are looking for an armed robbery suspect who attempted to rob the Country Porch gas station on north Section Street in Sullivan Saturday morning.
Authorities were called to the scene just before 11 a.m. Saturday. The manager told authorities a woman was loitering around the story before approaching the cash register with a handgun.
The manager refused to give the woman anything and ran to an adjoining business to call authorities.
The suspect then ran from the store heading west.
The manager told authorities the suspect was wearing a black mask, black gloves, black jacket with a gray hoodie underneath and a dark colored bag and that the handgun was dark in color. Authorities were told the suspect appeared to have dark hair and was wearing black tennis shoes with dark gray leggings.
Authorities were able to capture images of the suspect from store security footage.
