TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Leadership, empowerment and generational success were only a few things that the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce covered in their annual Women’s Conference on Friday.
The conference was scheduled for March 13th but was postponed due to Covid-19 and quarantine.
“One of the things that we were so happy about was to really come together as women. So many people right now might feel alone or just be down,” stated Chamber of Commerce Director of membership and Communications Katie Shane. “So, to gather women together even though it was virtual and celebrate women was something that we were really excited to do.”
The speakers discussed blending work and life, the impact social media has on today’s world, working together and how to support each other on the road to success.
“We had a great turnout. Over 100 ladies and a few gentlemen from West Central Indiana joined us today for national speakers, statewide speakers and some local,” explained Shane. “We had three live speakers today and on the website we also had five breakout sessions.”
