TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A local winery is excited to welcome back customers to its business under stage four of Indiana’s reopening plan.
Watertower Estates on Springhill in Terre Haute reopened on Friday.
The business has safety protocols in place such as new cleaning procedures, requiring employees to wear masks and positioning tables six feet apart.
The winery already has events planned for later this week and co-owner Tiffany Woodward says they are happy to see their customers again.
“We want to thank the community for their support through all of this. We really couldn’t have done it without you. We had to totally re-evaluate our business plan, and how we run our business with all of this going on and so, we really couldn’t have done it without the community’s support. They continued to help us keep our doors open through all of it,” says Woodward.
You can stay up to date on the winery’s events on their Facebook page.
Woodward says they spent a lot of time during the shutdown working on a new tasting room they plan to open on Wabash Avenue.
