INDIANAPOLIS (WTWO/WAWV) – Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson announces in-person voting will take place during the primary.
Indiana’s primary was moved to June 2 and the state lifted restrictions about who is allowed to vote by absentee ballot. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is May 21.
Lawson announced Thursday that early in-person voting will take place from May 26 through June 1. In-person voting will also take place on election day.
“These recommendations come after many discussions with county clerks and election staff, the state parties, the Indiana Election Division and they represent what we believe to be best practices for an unprecedented election cycle,” says Lawson.
