TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A family now has a new home in Terre Haute and it’s thanks to a collaboration between ISU and Habitat for Humanity.
Tuesday, during a ribbon cutting ceremony the new habitat home was blessed.
The home located on 13th 1/2 street in Terre Haute will house the Manalaysay family.
The house is the 71st built by Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity and the third sponsored by Indiana State University.
The family who will live in the home moved to Terre Haute from California back in 2010.
We spoke with a member of the family about the excitement of their new home being finished.
“I can’t thank them enough for how they dedicated their time and effort and work to make this house possible and finish this up. I praise god all the time for these angels,” said Dahlia Manalaysay, Habitat Home recipient.
The Manalaysay family hopes to begin moving into their new home this weekend.
