The Terre Haute Police announced Tuesday that Shane D. Turner has been arrested for attempted murder, aggravated battery and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
The arrest stemmed from a Dec. 27 incident in the 1300 block of South 8th Street. Briella Ellis and her fathery, Royss Ellis were both arrested after an argument with Briella’s boyfriend took a violent turn.
The boyfriend, Joshua Ping, told authorities than an unknown male shot him on Royss’ command.
Authorities believe the unknown male was Turner. He is currently being held at the Vigo County Jail on $75,000 bond with no 10 percent allowed.
Royss was charged with attempted murder, battery and aggravated battery and is being held on $100,000 bond with no 10 percent allowed. Briella was charged with domestic battery and later released by the court.
