TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – One man was arrested following an altercation last night in which two men were fighting over a handgun.
Forty-two year old Tony Park is facing charges of possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, pointing a firearm and possession of stolen property.
Terre Haute police responded to a home at 1805 South 4th Street after reports of shots fired. Upon further investigation police found that two men were fighting when one of the men grabbed a gun from his car. During the altercation, the gun went off. Before police arrived, the gun was thrown into a nearby bush. No one was injured.
