Teena Foster of Greene County has been cleared in the shooting death of her boyfriend James Austin.
After an investigation it was found that Austin became violent with Foster over the past year and in one instance he fractured one of her ribs.
On the day of the incident in June Austin attacked Foster and she shot him.
Indiana law states a person is justified in using deadly force to prevent serious bodily injury or death.
It was found that Foster in fact acted in self-defense and no criminal charges were filed.
